  The MINESHAFT

A word about Quartzsite's future...

Per the request of the General Public at large, there will be printed editions of The MINESHAFT available by mail.

As most of our readers are aware, QUARTZSITE is a difficult place with a reputation for corruption.

While efforts have been made to downplay Quartzsite's history in this area, it's difficult to do so when the evidence is so easily accessible to anyone willing to look.

The town has -- obviously -- gone from being financially successful to one having many millions of dollars in missing funds. These facts were intentionally hidden from the public view while efforts for citizens to be heard or to question leaders were suppressed.

It is unfortunate that, once again, we find ourselves in the position of having to defend the town and its citizens from those who would seek to use it for their own gain. Most are prohibited under the RICO Act. The following  Click on a few of these words to see how they fit:

EMPIRE-BUILDING, SELF AGGRANDIZEMENT, ANTI-COMPETITIVE PRACTICES, COLLUSION, CHARACTER ASSASSINATION, INFLUENCE PEDDLING, COOKING-THE-BOOKS, CREATIVE ACCOUNTING, EARNINGS MANAGEMENT, MALFEASANCE, CONFLICT OF INTEREST, SELF-DEALING and more.
